I am JoAnn Murphey. I live in the Golden Isles of Georgia.
"Today is not just another day. Today I will create something beautiful."
I am a free-lance writer, author, and minister. Married with four children and eight grandchildren. I spend a a big chunk of my free time helping other writers accomplish their dreams and surviving after a stroke
I believe in three basic truths- God is in control, death is the absence of learning, and your grandchildren are your reward for not killing your children as teenagers.
I am published under several nome de plume's But this is the real me. I started with self-publishing after 27 years in standard publishing...most of those titles are in various areas of nonfiction including self-help, inspirational, and public awareness. My first title was "Mommy I Wish I'd Never Heard of Arfritis," which is a mother-child book on dealing with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. It also serves as a self-help book for parents who have newly diagnosed children with JRA (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis).
Currently I've entered the 21st century trying my hand at e-publishing and internet social marketing. Although I have a degree in marketing the internet, at the time of my degree, the internet was in its infancy...so I finished college AGAIN learning all the new fangled things associated with the internet.
I have self and e-published titles. I write under several names... J.L. Murphey/Jolee Morriss/ Grandma Jam/JoAnn Mefford/ Johanna Kihara. Writing suspense is the mainstay of my writing whether it is children's, southern fiction, espionage, or horror. I have five more completed manuscripts which I haven't decided what to do with yet and seven more in the works in progress stage. So stay tuned. My followers and a few others will be the only ones who know I'm writing it all...unless of course, you read the copyright information on the first page of the books. <g>
Love my novels or hate my novels, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.
